New Zealand is without any question, one of the most beautiful countries I have ever visited. It is a diverse country, that offers great metropolitan cities, amazing mountains and hills, Ancient Kauri trails, great wine and food, glaciers and some of the best treks in the world. New Zealand offers something for everyone. 

I traveled through South and North Islands by car, and I had the opportunity to discover something fascinating in each corner of New Zealand. Enjoy New Zealand through my lenses and if you haven't yet,  you should consider to add New Zealand to your travel bucket list!

SOUTH Island

Amazing treking in Aoraki/Mount Cook National Park is in the South Island of New Zealand, near the town of Twizel

Tasman Glacier is the largest glacier in New Zealand. This place is fantastic and at the same time, very fragile
Church of Good Shepherd by the lake Tekapo was designed to give the impression of quiet strength and simplicity.
Lake Tekapo is located at Canterbury Region, in the South Island it an area of 1,463 Km2 (565 sq mi)
Lake Pukaki is located in the South Island not too far from Lake Tekapo, and both can be seen from the State Highway 8
Lake Pukaki with the Mount Cook in the back, with 3,724 meters (12,218 feet) is the highest mountain in New Zealand
Franz Josef Glacier has some of the most spectacular scenery in New Zealand, providing a very rare opportunity to experience a dynamic glacier in a temperate environment
Franz Josef Glacier is a 12 km long temperate maritime glacier located in Westland Tai Poutini National Park on the South Island
Lake Wakatipu in Glenorchy is right in the heart of numerous Lor of the Rings filiming locations
Glernorchy is only 45 minutes from Queestown and it is a must to visit. One of my favorite places I visited in New Zealand
Yes, I visited Paradise! Located in a rural area close to Glenorchy, is surrounded by sheep and cattle farming, making a nice and relaxing driving
Queenstown is built around the Lake Wakatipu, and it is another must visit place in New Zealand as it is known as the outdoors adventures and has 14 National Parks.
Kaikora is a beautiful coastal town and it is well known for its abundant wildlife and sperm whale population
Visiting one of the wineries, they offer winery tours and showcase one of the best wines in New Zealand

NORTH Island

Tongariro Alpine Crossing is a World Heritage site with volcanic landscape and it is considered one of the best hikings in the world
It took me approx. 8 hours to hike the 19.4 km (12 miles). The hiking is very steep climbs and the weather is unpredictable - but still the best hiking I've ever done
Blue Lake, one of many lakes during the hiking and it the color is result of minerals leaching from the thermal area
Hobbiton movie set is an amazing place to visit and to really feel inside the Lord of Rings movie for a day
Lupins flowers are everywhere in New Zealand and it is an exotic plant that can grow up to 1.5 meters and you can see fields on the side of the road
Rotorua is renowned for its geothermal activity and the Maori culture
Rotorua is the heartland of the Maori culture and you can visit and journey back to a time of proud warriors visiting one of the local shows
White Island (Whakaari) is the most active cone volcanic actvitivity over the past 150,000 years
White Island is situated 48 km (30 miles) from the coast of New Zealand and it is an absolutely incredible place to visit
